Visibility & Accessibility

The Ballet Ambassador Program is designed to increase visibility and accessibility to our performances, both for community members who haven't attended previously or have experienced societal barriers to attending mainstream dance performanes.

 

Would YOU consider becoming an Ambassador?

Connecticut Ballet is seeking ambassadors-at-large. We’re recruiting a dedicated group of people who want to share their enthusiasm for this art form by personally inviting friends and colleagues and also helping to welcome new attenders to the theater. In past seasons, we have hosted groups from CRT's The Retreat, Bloomfield Seniors, Maple Avenue Neighborhood Revitalization Group, Mt. Olive Baptist Church Youth Ministry, Hartford Young Scholars, Inspirica, Starfish Connection, and more.

What does a Ballet Ambassador do?

• Serve as an advocate for the ballet in the community by sharing upcoming events and providing access to complimentary tickets for friends and colleagues;

• Volunteer as a 'greeter' at our public performances, welcoming guests who have received gifted tix to see our work;

• Serve as a feedback mechanism for us: Did your guests feel comfortable in the theater? Would they recommend it to others?

  In addition to comp tickets, Ambassadors get invited to special rehearsals with
  guest choreographers and learn all about what goes into making the magic happen.

 

What do you receive in return?

• Two complimentary tickets to performances at The Bushnell or The Palace;

• The satisfaction of knowing that you helped develop a strong, diverse and sustainable audience for Connecticut Ballet in the future;

 

                  Want to help underwrite Ballet Ambassador tickets?

            We need funding to underwrite tickets for marginalized audiences to attend our
                  performances this season. You can make possible the joy of attending the ballet
                  for the first time.

                       -- $500 enables ten individuals to attend the ballet

                       -- $1000 enables 20 individuals to attend the ballet

                       -- $1250 enables 25 individuals to attend​ the ballet
